NTN Registration – Business Individual (Sole Proprietor)
When you operate as a sole proprietor in Pakistan, your business is legally your personal business: you and your business are one entity. To legally run and be recognised for tax purposes, you must register for a National Tax Number (NTN). The FBR requires that for a sole proprietor you provide your CNIC, a mobile number registered under your CNIC (or a relative’s if yours isn’t registered), an active email address, proof of business address (such as a paid utility bill or tenancy/rent agreement) and a description of your business activity.
Once your documentation is verified and registration is processed on your behalf, you will receive your official Taxpayer Registration Certificate (NTN certificate) issued by the FBR for your business profile.
